Saaho Review

My Saaho Review: One guy after finishing Btech, Did some crash course in Ameerpet and got a job. After 1 year of experience, he convinced a Delivery Manager and client and grabbed a Multi-Million Dollar project. Client gave State of the Art facility, Latest Technology Stack and Competitive Team. After 2.5 years, They come up with the best Code ever in single line -

 If Aak is Paak, Paak is Aak, Then Aak Paak, Karepak.. you didnot like the joke, same was my feeling when I saw Saaaho.

 Jokes apart, Saaho was an opportunity to follow up on Baahubali, which had both scale and imagination, and blur the boundaries between regional and national cinema once again. Sadly, it ends up as a missed opportunity. The most awaited films this year falls short of living upto expectations. 1st half was completely dull except for a decent interval block (I personally did not like but every seems to enjoy it). While Things got little better in second but half the damage was already done by the earlier half. Action blocks Lot of unwanted green mat sequences to project grandeur.

 Prabhas did a fair job but looked odd at many places due to bad styling. Shradda Rest were fine. 20+ villains and 200 plus stunt people and no one had any decent role, except Vijay arun. Even there was confusion on who actual Antagonist is? Right from B Gopal to Boyapati Srinu movies, we have seen number of villains and unexpected Twists. An average Telugu Audience can predict every single scene including the final twist.

 Apart from Couple of Action scenes , Grand Production Values Narration, The Weak Story line & Screenplay, Boring Scenes, Avg songs will test you patience. Undoubtedly the worst Music I have heard in recent times. #Saaho is Big Budget Blunder which cannot even satisfy Die hard Fans.

ఫర్లేదు అనిపించే ఒక తెలుగు హీరొయిన్, ఓవర్ ఆక్షన్ తప్ప ఆక్షన్ రాని ఒక మల్లు హీరొయిన్, BOYS నుంచి 180 దాక ఒకే ఆక్షన్ చేస్తున్న తెలుగు తమిళ్ కాని హీరో, తమిళ్ డైరెక్టర్;

కాస్త అరవ వాసన, కాస్త పాచి (పాత కాలం CONCEPT) వాసన, వినబడని పాటలు, అర్థం కాని మాటలు ఇది 180 సినిమా తీరు. కాన్సెప్ట్ బానే ఉన్న తీసే పద్ధతిలో తీసి కాసిని మంచి పాటలు వేస్తే బానే ఉండాల్సిన సినిమా అమెరికా కి వెళ్ళిన పెట్టిన ఖర్చుల్లో సగం స్క్రీన్ ప్లే మీద, visuals కి ఇచ్చిన శ్రద లో సగం సంగీతం మీద పెట్టిన సినిమా బానే వచ్చేది. మొత్తానికి సినిమా బానే ఉంది కాని ధియేటర్ కి వెళ్లి ఈ సినిమా ఎందుకు చూడాలి అంటే సమాధానం లేదు. సీరియస్ సినిమా లో కామెడీ ని పెట్టాడు అనుకున్నాడో లేక కామెడియన్స్ కి బడ్జెట్ సరిపోలేదో కాని అది ఈ సినిమాకి పెద్ద మైనస్.

I recomend this movie to every wanna so that they can understand how a good subject can be made into disaster.

Biography

No I am not talking about my Biography :) Jokes apart, you need not be Mahatma Gandhi or Abraham Lincoln to some one make your Biography. You can be Aron Ralston or Daniel Pearl who are stuck between Life and Death; eventually out of these two one is alive and another is Dead. coming straight to point these are true inspirations behind 127 Hours and A Mighty Heart.

It takes a great deal to turn biographies into movie and I should say the directors are upto mark for both these movies.

"127 Hours" is the true story of mountain climber Aron Ralston's adventure to save himself after a fallen boulder crashes on his arm and traps him in an isolated canyon in Utah. He suffers Over the next five days Ralston and finally discovers he has the courage and the wherewithal to extricate himself by any means necessary. He scales a 65 foot wall and hikes over eight miles before he is finally rescued. Throughout his journey, Ralston recalls friends, lovers, family, and the two hikers he met before his accident. How did he survive is interesting Point. A good film by Danny Boyle.

On January 23, 2002, Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl is to fly from Karachi to Dubai with his pregnant wife, Mariane, also a reporter. On the day before, with great care, he has arranged an interview in a café with an Islamic fundamentalist cleric. When Danny doesn't return, Mariane initiates a search. Pakistani police, American embassy personnel, and the FBI examine witnesses, phone records, e-mails, and hard drives. What happened to him is Great Tragedy. Angelina did live to the role of Mariane. film some what looks like biography, but its OK to watch.

Though Cast Away and Dasvidaniya arent inspired by true stories they look similar but have good commercial elements in them. (because you can induce as much fiction into those stories Unlike here)

Phut - Nagavalli, The spoof

Rarely we see a continuation of movie which is better than the original one. and In Telugu we dont find a single one good, simple reason we try to sell fruits by its trees name. we dont work much on the script work, people always try to go similar to the earlier script leaving the novelty apart.

One of those worst attempts is Nagavalli. when I first heard Chandramukhi-2 is made with Venkatesh I had a good expectations. I thought Venkatesh will add his experience to the subject, but now understood it is just a costly spoof of Chandramukhi.

Generally comedians like Ali and Venumadhav attempt to this as comedy bits in big movies, but this is a first time we saw a hero like Venkatesh do it. Doesn't it sound cool now. Does not it sooth that our heroes are trying to entertain us in different ways now. No, Come On. Take it light.

Movies without Brain

Last night while talking to Jyo, we were discussing that, not all movies make us to use our brain. Not all films do have technical values but they dont need to carry vulgar comedy or double meaning dialogues. Hearing to that I could only think of few actors like Allari naresh and rajendraprasad in Telugu.

Many of them in Hollywood take the role. They are cool too watch without using our brains like Allari Naresh movies, just dont think of much logic. These kind of movies are required as much as we need and Inception and Magadheera. They can be fun and cool. JUST ENJOY THE MOVIE.

The recent movies I enjoyed without using much of my brain or adopting the movie or characters:

SUPER BAD - Seth and Evan are best friends, inseparable, navigating the last weeks of high school. Usually shunned by the popular kids, Seth and Evan luck into an invitation to a party, and spend a long day, with the help of their nerdy friend Fogell, trying to score enough alcohol to lubricate the party and inebriate two girls, Jules and Becca, so they can kick-start their sex lives and go off to college with a summer full of experience and new skills. Their quest is complicated by Fogell's falling in with two inept cops who both slow and assist the plan. If they do get the liquor to the party, what then?

Knocked Up - When Alison Scott is promoted in E! Television, she goes to a night-club to celebrate with her older married sister Debbie. Alison meets the pothead reckless Ben Stone and while having a small talk with Ben, Debbie's husband Pete calls her to tell that their daughter has chicken pox. Debbie leaves the place but Allison stays with Ben, drinking and dancing along all night; completely wasted, they end up having a one night stand. Ben does not use condom and eight weeks later, Allison discovers that she is pregnant. She calls Ben and they decide to try to stay together and have the baby. However, Ben needs to grow-up first to raise a family of his own

Accepted - A high school slacker who's rejected by every school he applies to opts to create his own institution of higher learning, the South Harmon Institute of Technology, on a rundown piece of property near his hometown

bachelor Party - Rick Gassko is about to marry Debbie Thompson. Her parents hate him. Her old boyfriend hates him. They all have money and he gets a cut of the crap games on the catholic school bus he drives. His friends decide to give him the bachelor party of all bachelor parties with an expensive hotel, booze, movies and hookers. As the players catch wind of the elements of the party, each adds a little monkey wrench so that one set of hookers ends up giving demos at the bride's shower, the brides friends end up dressed as hookers in a room with a number of non English speaking Japanese business men, and so on as things get out of hand.

I Love You, Man - Peter Klaven's world revolves around his real estate work and Zooey, his soon-to-be fiancée. After he pops the question, she calls her best friends and they go into wedding planning mode. Peter has no male friends and that poses problems: will he turn out to be a clingy guy, and who will be his best man? Zooey, her friends, and Peter's brother Robbie offer help that results in awkward moments. Then, at an open house Peter's hosting, he meets Sydney, an amiable, low-key guy. They trade business cards, and Peter calls him to meet for drinks. A friendship develops that's great at first but then threatens Peter's engagement and career. Can guys be friends and couples be in love?

Phut - SALT & The TOURIST

Enough of Hit and Hut's. two disasters I was most awaiting this year. both from the beauty queen AJ.

I dont want to criticise any of points, but I wish AJ had escaped the BLIND SPOTS on these movies.

one other terrible movie I watched this year was Viswanath sir's "Subhapradam" starring Naresh and Manjari. I never understood why Viswanath sir has made the movie and what did naresh like in the role except the point for it being directed by the KALATAPASVI.

HIT - UGLY TRUTH

Didn't I introduce this movie. Ohh Man, This Adult comedy flick is awesome (Don't watch this with family - no no you need hide and see this, after all this is not an adult movie :))

i would give all the credit of this movie to the casting director. The best casting I ever saw - Katherine Heigl & Gerard Butler. Ohh God I can write an essay all over the night about this simple movie.
